Type Spec: New Spirit
OVERVIEW
I was assigned to design a type specimen book to showcase a font of my choice. I chose to showcase New Spirit, which is a reworked version of the Windsor typeface. Each spread in the book highlights unique aspects of New Spirit, such as its alignment and font anatomies.

VISUAL DIRECTION
As the name suggests, I wanted to give the book a whimsical and magical feel. The typeface is, literally, getting a "new spirit" as a reworked typeface, so I wanted that to be the focal point for the visual theme of my book. Like going on a magical adventure, the book takes the viewer on a journey to explore the wonders of New Spirit.
With that in mind, the visuals created for the book were made only using the New Spirit typeface. I played around with the rotation and sizing of the font, as if a magic floating spell had been casted on each of them!
