Kiyuchan: A Fruitful Day

OVERVIEW

Kiyuchan + Friends is a set of characters I designed, inspired by the cute mascots seen in many Japanese brands such as San-X and Sanrio.

This series was created as a campaign to promote productivity, encouraging others that being productive doesn't always have to be literal. Taking the steps to take care of yourself is productive, too! Kiyuchan and her lovely friends want to spread that message.

CONCEPT + INSPO

The most important part of this project was keeping the consistent theme. When Sanrio or San-X releases a new series, all the merchandise and advertising for the series follow a theme. Food themes are a popular choice across both companies, which is what inspired me to go with a cute fruit theme.
